To give your opinion, you can use pour / contre and d’accord / pas d’accord. These expressions allow you to say whether you support or reject an idea.
Pour / Contre
Pour means that you are in favor of something. Contre means that you are opposed to it.
- Je suis pour ce projet. (I am in favor of this project.)
- Elle est contre cette idée. (She is against this idea.)
- Nous sommes pour les vacances en été. (We are in favor of summer holidays.)
- Ils sont contre cette décision. (They are against this decision.)
D’accord / Pas d’accord
These expressions are used to say whether you share someone's opinion.
- Je suis d’accord avec toi. (I agree with you.)
- Je ne suis pas d’accord avec lui. (I do not agree with him.)
- Nous sommes d’accord avec cette idée. (We agree with this idea.)
- Elles ne sont pas d’accord avec le professeur. (They do not agree with the teacher.)
