1. C'est + specifier + noun
The expression "C'est" followed by a noun is used to identify or introduce someone or something.
- C'est un professeur = It's a teacher.
- C'est une belle journée = It's a beautiful day.
- C'est mon livre = It's my book.
2. Il/Elle est + adjective
"Il est" or "Elle est" is followed by an adjective. In French, an adjective is not preceded by a specifier.
- Je suis intelligent, tu es intelligent, il est intelligent, elle est intelligente, etc.
- Il est tard = It is late.
- C'est difficile de trouver une solution. = It's difficult to find a solution.
3. C'est + specifier + noun + adjective
When there is a noun and an adjective, we use "C'est".
- C'est un bon film = It's a good movie.
- C'est une personne sympa = It's a nice person.
- C'est un enfant difficile = It's a difficult child.
- C'est un enfant. Il/Elle est difficile. = It's a child. He/She is difficult. → It's a difficult child.
